What are those ugly black lines around the baseboards and under doorways?

If you have light colored carpet, you may have experienced these dark lines that appear on the carpet. This soiling is called filtration soiling because it comes from air passing through the carpet as it is attempting to get through the crack between the carpet and the baseboard or under a closed door. As the air passes through the edge of the carpet pile, this microscopic soiling is deposited there (hence the term filtration soiling). This occurs over a significant period of time and is not noticed until a build up has occurred.

This type of soiling is difficult to remove because the soil particles are so fine that they penetrate deep into the carpet pile, sometimes into the backing of the carpet. Can it be removed? Sometimes. With special products, time and effort, reasonable results can sometimes be achieved. To help prevent filtration soiling, vacuum and wipe the edges of the carpeting on a regular basis. Be careful around the tackstrip on the edge of the carpeting, it could nick your fingers!

What Is The Best Method of Carpet Cleaning?

The simple answer is.. The one that makes you happy! However, according to most major carpet manufacturers, "steam", or otherwise known as "extraction" cleaning, is by far the most widely recognized and approved method for carpet cleaning today.

Do you guarantee your work?

We offer 100% money-back guarantee. If you arenot completely satisfied, we will return at no charge to satisfy you. If you are still unsatisfied, we will honor our money back guarantee.

The only reason we can make such an offer is because we believe in our service. Our equipment is unique, and our processes are unsurpassable. Additionally, we select only the type of personnel you yourself would invite into your home or business, and train them to be experts in their field. so relax; we gladly accept responsibility for your furnishings when we are your guest.

How Often Should I Have My Carpet Cleaned?

To best answer this question, you must first ask yourself a few questions. The basic answer is: Frequent vacuuming (1 to 6 times / week), and frequent cleaning (1-4 times per year) will actually enhance the appearance and life of your carpeting significantly.

Is your staff bonded and insured?

Because your safety and confidence mean so much, we bond and insure our staff.

What Can I Do To Avoid Getting Stuck With A Bad Cleaning Service?

Well, as we just discussed, the first step is to be prepared to pay a little more. We all want to feel we got at least what we paid for. But if you don't want to get burned, avoid trying to get something for nothing.

What Makes Summit Cleaning Service Different From Any Other Carpet Cleaner?

How Long Does It Take To Dry?

A number of factors affect drying times, including temperature, humidity, fiber type and soil level. Normal drying times vary from one to eight hours. Drying can be reduced to 30-90 minutes in most cases with optional Speed Dry System.

Should I have my carpet dry cleaned or steam cleaned?

As mentioned earlier, most major carpet manufacturers now recommend hot water extraction (steam cleaning) as the preferred method. Like the laundering of your clothing, steam cleaning is highly effective in removing soil and other contaminants from your carpet. It is one of five carpet cleaning processes that are officially recognized as an industry standard.

To most people "dry cleaning" means cleaning without water. The fact is that most carpet cleaning advertised as "dry" cleaning actually uses anywhere from a little to a lot of water! That's because most of the soil in your carpet is water soluble. For the most part that means better results with a wet cleaning process. On the other hand each cleaning process has its place given the circumstances. For the majority of residential customers steam cleaning will deliver the most effective results.

At Summit Cleaning Services we offer most of the industry standard cleaning processes. Each process can be effective depending on the right circumstances. For those who prefer a dry cleaning process, we offer "Encapuclean." "Encapuclean" is a unique and effective process that delivers good results with minimum water use. Drying times are brief with an average of 1 to 2 hours.

Does your cleaning process soak the backing of the carpet?

No, although our process rinses the carpet deep down, moisture does not penetrate the backing of the carpet. With our powerful truck-mounted equipment, your carpet is thoroughly rinsed, but left only damp to the touch.

How Do I Remove Red Wine And Organic Stains?

These types of stains can be some of the most difficult stains to remove from your carpets and upholstery. Check out this quick video on how to remove wine stains from your carpet.
